Nexen Construction is a preferred installer of Nichiha Fiber Cement Panels

Fiber Cement panels are a type of siding that is customizable and extremely durable

NICHIHA PANELS

Nichiha fiber cement panels comprise a smooth, contemporary cladding that’s fast and easy to install, low-maintenance and super-durable. Designed for both commercial and residential applications, Nichiha panel installation creates a bold, modern look that doesn’t require the maintenance or upkeep often associated with traditional finishes. Engineered exterior cement panels are constructed with superior performance in mind to prevent rotting, warping and delamination. Nichiha panels are low-fuss and pest-resistant, keeping your building safe from termites. Nexen Construction is a Nichiha Preferred Installer.

A Customizable, Contemporary Look

Because Nichiha panels are available in a wide range of styles, textures, and colors, it’s easy to mix and match to create a unique finish you won’t see anywhere else. Nichiha panels can effectively mimic the look of natural materials (metal, brick, fieldstone, sandstone, block and cedar) without the wear, tear and upkeep that these materials can require -- and at a fraction of the cost. Panels are installed with aesthetics in mind; concealed clips and fasteners provide a clean, uninterrupted appearance that demands attention.

Advantages

Drainage. Panels are installed with an integrated rainscreen system to promote effective drainage in any climate. The exterior cladding deflects water and a vented drainage space allows moisture to drain or dry away from the wall system. This highly engineered back-ventilated moisture management system offers excellent protection against water intrusion and prevents damage to the wall components.

Installation. Nichiha’s highly engineered installation system guarantees a shorter construction period, lowering the overall price. Panels can be installed over all of the most common substrates: traditional wood framing, concrete and masonry (CMUs), structural insulated panels (SIPs), and metal frame construction.

Sustainability. Nichiha products are made of natural and recycled materials, including FSC wood pulp and fly ash, which diverts waste from landfills. Nichiha complies with LEED Material and Resources Credit 4, which is of benefit to environmental builds, and 100% of the pre-cured fiber cement scrap is reused.

TRESPA PANELS

High-pressure laminate plate manufactured in Netherlands. The panels are used in exterior cladding, decorative facades and interior surfaces. Because the surface of Trespa Plate has a dense molecular coating, it is virtually impervious to weather (temperature, UV radiation and humidity). Also, any contamination, such as graffiti, can be removed quite easily. Because of these advantages, the material has been popular since the 1980s in the production of laboratory surfaces and outdoor signage, but also for shower stalls and toilet cubicles in educational, hospital, and campground facilities.

Advantages

  • High impact resistant, dimensionally stable building material.
  • Weather resistant and color stable
  • Low Maintenance and Graffiti Proof
  • Tough, Solid, and Sturdy
  • 10 year product warranty

James Hardie Siding

James Hardie is a type of fiber cement siding that is exceptionally strong and resistant to elements and extreme climates. It can mimic natural materials such as wood, but because it’s impervious to the elements, it won’t retain moisture like natural wood -- which can lead to problems like rotting and warping. These climate-resistant properties ensure that your James Hardie Siding will maintain its look and integrity for the lifetime of the building, unlike traditional siding options which require periodic maintenance or replacement. It’s also an ideal choice if you’re looking for customizable design options for your building project; distinct James Hardie exterior collections allow you to craft every detail of your home.

Environmentally Responsible

Amongst the most common options of siding, James Hardie is a standout if environmental concerns are a priority. Because it will last the lifetime of the building, you won’t be creating any unnecessary waste. As an added plus, the James Hardie company is committed to reducing waste and carbon dioxide emissions and they employ various strategies to remain environmentally responsible.

Advantages

Durability. James Hardie siding has been tested and proven to stand up to the elements: hurricanes, UV rays, snowstorms and more. It’s also incredibly strong, rot- and insect-resistant and can endure harsh environmental conditions.
Style. James Hardie siding is pliable and customizable; color and style options are virtually unlimited. It can be customized in many different ways to suit your aesthetic needs. Looking to revitalize a historic property? James Hardie allows you to create a historically accurate and architecturally correct finish.
Fire Resistance. James Hardie siding is 90 percent sand and cement, making it extremely fire-resistant. It won’t ignite when exposed to a direct flame, nor will it contribute fuel to a fire.
