Nexen Construction's roots go back to 2004, when founder Eli Ace began taking on exterior work under his own name at eighteen years old. Nexen Construction LLC was formed in 2010. Since then the company has provided energy efficient exterior construction services across Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. Nexen applies and/or installs finishes to the exterior walls of residential and commercial buildings. Nexen primarily specializes in the Nichiha panels, Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS), and stone/brick veneer. Servicing all of Pennsylvania and surrounding states, the Nexen Team is known for their quality work, integrity, and good reputation with contractors.
The mission at Nexen Construction is to incorporate faith and business. The vision for accomplishing this is by BUILDING up the next generation of LEADERS to give back to the community through SERVICE using their God-given talents. A part of this vision includes giving back to the community through a community service year, beginning in 2024 and repeating every seven years. This means we have to diligently plan leading up to the community service year in order to be able to provide free labor to a large community construction project.
Nexen Construction aims to consistently provide quality services with integrity, to treat customers and employees in a respectful and friendly manner, and to be a positive influence on the community. Nexen is dedicated to developing employees personally and professionally with the goal of providing opportunities for training, education, and guidance whenever possible. Nexen believes that when you give, you gain.
2024 was a hard year and a pivotal one. Construction is a hard business, and hard years teach fast. We used it to look at how this company was put together, and then we changed it on purpose: clearer roles, tighter documentation, stronger field leadership, and a deeper bench of skilled trade partners. Two decades of exterior wall work and more than 282 documented projects stand behind that rebuild. Nexen carried the new structure through 2025 and is fully back and bidding in 2026. Same standards. Stronger structure to hold them.
Nexen is a hybrid builder, and people lead it. Nexen holds the contract, Nexen sets the standard, and Nexen answers for the finished wall. Our leadership prices the work, signs the contract, approves every change order, walks the job, and puts their name on every certification. Behind them is the Ace Team, ten named AI assistants that carry the paperwork load: takeoffs, submittals, schedule tracking, photo logs and daily documentation. They support decisions. They never make them, and they never speak for this company. In the field our own leadership runs the work alongside independent trade partners we know by name and by work history. We are not a referral service. A general contractor hires one builder here and holds one builder responsible from award through closeout.
We treat emerging technology as leverage for skilled people, not a replacement for them. Better information means our estimators price tighter and our managers catch conflicts before they reach the wall. That puts more human time on the jobsite, where it belongs. Technology does not hang panel and it does not carry judgment. Founder Eli Ace is planning to rejoin the Associated Builders and Contractors technology committee to stay close to where this trade is heading.
